Sometimes they were created for a specific space or occasion; sometimes I've also made small installations like Hospital and For The Trickster that enhanced a particular book, and extended its contents, and sometimes, they're just small installations.
What I Did On My Winter Vacation was unusual in that it was created by request to encapsulate a working environment from a residency, as a pedagogical tool. It was accompanied by an essay that was available on the school's web site for several years and is now lost.
This method of working continues in my current practice, in reconfigurable works such as Re:Morse and LISTEN, when exhibiting smaller groups of (S)Edition books, and in works I am currently developing.
(This is not the entire body of work; more small installations will be added soon).
